Lansing Shaped Mural Project
Muralmatics founder Dustin Hunt painted three portrait murals across the City of Lansing in 2024. Each mural depicts one family across three generations, painted on three repurposed school buildings in Lansing’s North, West, and South side. QR codes are displayed near each mural and direct viewers to a videos of the family members discussing how Lansing has shaped them. Starting JUNE 14th, Lansing Shaped will open up to visitors who will get instructions on recording and uploading a video and sharing a story about how Lansing has shaped them too. These videos will then be added to a gallery, and grow as more people submit their videos.
To get the addresses to each mural, beginning JUNE 14th, pick up an official Lansing Shaped map at one of these businesses or organizations. Grab some stickers, and buttons while you're at it!
